Planning to make a boat loader for my cub camper, anyone got any ideas or plans? need to remember the camper is a hard floor off the back jobby. basically want to just load the boat off to one side, motor will be on a swing away bracket like a spare wheel carrier.. Hey having trouble finding companies that make gas strut assist or powered side loader for my soft top camper. i don't just want racks because i need to be able to open the top of the camper to access the fridge during breaks while traveling, so thats when the loader were the boat tips over to the side comes in..
Leaving all the engineering aside, the boat loader works extremely well and with the boat being placed on the ground the right way up make the unloading of the boat off the loader a one person operation. once the boat is taken off, the loader can be packed vertically against the camper out of the way.. Dose anyone have plans or ideas on how to built a boat loader. thanks. what are you intending to load onto a camper trailer or the tug and where are you intending to go with it . there are light ones that are designed for the black top and then there are those for the off roader. Once the catches securing the loader to the top of the suitcase have been released the gas struts will lift the loader and boat up off the top of the camper and allow you to either lock both in the vertical position to allow tent set up or continue over and lock both in the horizontal position with the boat now the correct way up with it's keel.
